Heavenly Comfort Cookies

       Welcome!

We started making cookies over twenty years ago for gifts to friends and customers mostly at Christmas. In the fall of 2008, having been unemployed for a time and having lost all money in the turbulent stock markets (sub-prime mortgage bubble/financial meltdown) of 2007-2008, we sold a few of our chocolate-chip cookies to make a little cash to buy food, etc.  During the following few months we developed the banana-oatmeal cookie recipe that is the basis for several variations we have available today.  Because we have been busily employed in a growing handyman business since then, cookie selling was pretty much over before it really got going.  We still baked cookies as a treat for folks and at Christmas time for gifts.
For years now people continually said, "those are the best cookies..., you should sell them."  So finally, in attempt to increase income toward matching the monthly bills, we acquiesced to finally get the baking business going that was first conceived those several years ago. Our goal is, as always, to make most delicious cookies to be enjoyed by and even spirit-lifting to those who eat them.  This is attempted with much prayer and achieved through gracious blessing by God.  It is truly a blessing to have such delicious treats to offer you!

How did we get our name?

Note:  We never use nuts or nut oils as ingredients in cookies or in contact with any baking equipment.  Nestle semi-sweet chips are "made in a facility that also processes peanuts."  Land 'O Lakes margarine is made from soybean oil.
